Writer’s Note

Written October 2021-April 2022.

This song is inspired by the many dating app profiles I’ve encountered that would say “please don’t be a Disney adult” or “Disney gays swipe left.” This made me think— why would they say that? What kind of Disney-obsessed MONSTER were they imagining?

This song underwent the most lyrical changes out of any on this album. Earlier versions of the song had lines such as “And when I get that paycheck / Half goes to rent, and the rest to Bob Chapek,” which was excised during the Disney World/“Don’t Say Gay” controversy. Or maybe I just somehow KNEW, deep in my heart, that Bob Iger would be coming back as CEO.

I’m obligated to mention that this song is meant to be satirical. I do not condone any sort of corporate allegiance as part of one’s identity.
